Preschool childhood is a period of intellectual development of all mental processes, which provide the child the opportunity to become familiar with the surrounding reality. One of the most important challenges facing the system of preschool education is the full development of the personality of the preschool child: the development of cognitive, mental, physical, moral and aesthetic abilities, the formation of physical and intellectual maturity.

For the successful completion of the curriculum the child should not only know, but also consistent and evidence-based thinking. It follows that to teach a child to think logically possible only in a situation requiring interpretation. The inability to resolve the difficulties the usual way and we should encourage the child to actively search for means and ways of solving problems.

Logical thinking is based on the imagery and is the highest stage in the development of thinking. Reaching this stage is a long and complex process, as the development of logical thinking requires not only high activity mental activity, but generalized knowledge about the General and essential characteristics of objects and phenomena of reality. You should not wait for the child be at least 14 years and he reaches the stage of logical operations, when his thinking will become the characteristic features of mental activity of adults. To start the development of logical thinking should be in preschool children.

The development of logical thinking involves the use of educational games, mecalac, puzzles, solving different puzzle games and mazes and causes children great interest. Psychologist L. S. Vygotsky said: “Scientific concepts are not acquired and not learned by the child are not taken memory, and arise and develop through the greatest stress of his own thoughts”. Hence the only correct path leading to the acceleration of logical thinking – this is a game.

The development of logical thinking in children through educational games is important for the success of later learning at school, for proper formation of individual student.

Their educational games I used directly in educational activities on mathematical development, in the “Quiet corner” in mathematical games, in free play activities of children, in the form of didactic games in joint activities of children and parents, working with parents: the Parent club “Erudite”, in game minutes.

As the senior preschool age is a sensitive period for logical thinking, I developed an interest in modeling for landmark systems, coding numbers, as well as independence in solving a particular job. Children of preschool age faster are included in the solution. Here children have always been full participants: they heatedly discussed the possible solutions to assignments. During these tasks the children have mastered the basic operations of logical thinking – comparing, the reconstruction of the whole from the parts, process modeling, search patterns, domain-schematic models, elements of coding and mapping.

All games – quests I have divided into several groups:

1. Reproductive.

Games requiring the application of acquired pre-knowledge or ways of acting.

The name game: “Name the subject in one word”, “Edible – inedible”, “Fish – birds – animals”.

2. Training.

Tasks that require the child to imitate the pattern of the adult.

The name game: “Name the object in the row”, “I know 5…”, “Continue”, “Put the missing piece”.

3. Creative.

Games that require a child searching activity when you run the new.

Game titles: “White sheet”, “knight’s Move”, “Games with hoops”, “Computing machine”.

4. Partial search.

Games that require the child to find a solution.

Game titles: “Maze”, “Puzzle”, “Tangram”.

Every preschooler – little Explorer, with joy and surprise at discovering the world. And our task is to help him to maintain and develop the desire to know, to satisfy children’s need to be active, to give food to the mind of a child.

Educational games occupy a very large place in the system of preschool education. They sharpen the mind of the child, develop flexibility of mind, thinking, teach logic. All these qualities come in handy in school.

Where the child is not in a hurry to get rid of the difficulties of life where I try to give space for research and activity, there are educational games will be included in the child’s life and will be a strong incentive for the development of logical thinking
